Rob and Lionel recently had the privilege of attending the Zimswitch 2024 Payment Conference held in the stunning Victoria Falls.
The event proved to be both enlightening and enriching, featuring insightful speakers who provided valuable perspectives on Zimbabwe’s evolving payments landscape. It was also an opportunity for Rob and Lionel to share their own insights and connect with current and prospective clients from across the region.
During the conference, Lionel addressed the audience on strategies to enhance digital payment adoption across existing and upcoming platforms. He specifically highlighted the capabilities of the Finteq Clearing House Solution, integral to the Zeepay National Payments System in Zimbabwe.
Beyond the conference sessions, the event offered moments of relaxation and camaraderie. Participants enjoyed a memorable sunset Zambezi Cruise followed by a riverside dinner, as well as a special evening at the Lookout, overlooking the iconic bridge spanning Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The highlight of the gathering was undoubtedly the themed gala dinner commemorating Zimswitch’s 30th anniversary. As a parting gift, attendees were treated to a guided walk through the rainforest to witness the breathtaking Victoria Falls, aptly known as the “Smoke that Thunders.”
